And Shorten thinks that we can somehow export electrical energy cost effectively through Hydrogen, He is just about a smart as a sack full of hammers.

Thanks for shutting Hazlewood

Do your job we pay you enough

No energy plan total lack of any forethought, how many years has this vacuum of lack of policy or even a hint of a policy.

Yep, and we spiral down into third world state of economic ruin. Good one, those who have led us down this path. We drive manufacturing out of Oz due to energy costs. Maybe wages too but let’s not dwell, huh? And those who are left don’t pay taxes. Like the power companies.

How about not selling it overseas? Powering our own country should be 1 in the contract

We have a lot more gizmos reliant on 240v power than ever. Just how many items in a given house are sitting on ‘standby’.

I think this proves once and for all that we cant rely on re. The current situation where producers have few reasons to perform maintenance and no new fossil fuel plants will end up causing problems

Seriously? Who was it that cocked up the power supply again? O yes, Labor!

Heatwaves happen. Why are there no contingency plans?

I understand that light winds are forecast tomorrow? Why is energy security and reliability even a thing in 2019. Just beggars belief.

If only there was some magical way of harnessing and storing the suns energy.. I’m sure everyone would jump on such a revolutionary idea...

Have Josh Frydenberg, Tony Abbott or Scott Morrison blamed this on renewables yet? They usually get hot under the collar about these matters....auspol

What a cheek ! Charging ridiculous prices. Treating power like it is a luxury and not an essential service. And treating its customers like idiots. 😠😠

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Ha.

Cutting power is cutting jobs.......what is the state government on about?

Lets start with the Aluminium smelter, takes up %15 of all power in Victoria,

LilyDAmbrosioMP All the while you and your Government tweet out new wind farms in the never never....that will produce only more expensive and unreliable power while your policies today could force the few businesses left in Victoria to close. Audacious.

In South Australia even the diesel generators are working hard. No sign of the big battery. Why isn't it working? Windmills and solar not doing much.

Wouldnt happen with Nuclear. We are missing out.
