The chairman, West Africa Youth Council, Amb. William Seun, who presented the award plaques on behalf of the organisation, said the recipients were being recognised for their commitment to youth development and empowerment, business and economic development in Nigeria.
“We are gathered here to celebrate achievers, for their dedication to duty, industry and to honour and encourage youth leaders, apostles of positive change and young personalities,’’ he said. Seun said Amb Terrence Benjamin and Kelvin Obioha had touched lives in Nigeria by taking youths off the streets through empowerment initiatives with some of the beneficiaries now becoming employers of labour.
He described the duo as nation builders and peace promoters, whose positive contributions to the lives of youths attracted the Ambassadorial Awards from ECOWAS Youth Council.
