When major transport and logistics company Scott's Refrigerated collapsed last month, it exacerbated the struggle some small regional businesses have long faced to get their products to larger distribution centres in capital cities.

"It's really disheartening, it's really frustrating," Ms Bowie said.

"The real source of the problem is a lack of truck drivers," council chief executive Hermione Parson said.The workforce pressure the freight and logistics industry is under has seen many trucks left driverless. "Our customers are extremely passionate about local [produce] and farmers, so if we didn't support them I think there would be an uproar in our customer base," she said.

Then how,about instead of screwing transport companies to the bone of rates, pay them a fair rate or go and spend hundreds of thousands on a truck of your own, employ a driver don't 4get to pay for regular servicing and rego 4 one of these, check it out guys BIG $$$ regardless
