The company, which is based in Perry County, employed a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old to work in roofing, according to the Department of Labor and Industry.

A roofing company out of Perry County has been charged with child labor law violations by the Department of Labor and Industry., accuses Samuel Lapp of hiring two juveniles to work on two-story roofs in Dauphin County.

Pennsylvania’s Child Labor Act prohibits children from working in jobs like roofing, which it defines as hazardous.
