The Msia Gov will let go all of its stake equity too DNB TechNave

A few hours ago, Dato’ Mohd Ali Hanafiah Mohd Yunus who is the Chief Operating Officer of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission was in an interview on Bernama TV. In the short clip, he mentioned that a new entity will eventually take over Digital Nasional Berhad after achieving 80% of the 5G population coverage.

As we have previously reported, the Malaysian government is planning to transition DNB's single wholesale network to a dual network model. When asked by Bernama about DNB's situation in that regard, Mohd Ali replied that DNB will be taken by another entity to become a private company. The 5G network and staff will remain the same.

Under the dual network model there will be two entities for 5G. By the way, CelcomDigi has announced that it will terminate the previous DNB agreement which will not affect the customers' 5G experience.

In the upcoming dual network model, there will be two entities for 5G and one of them will overtake DNB as aforementioned. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
