Republicans' main Senate campaign arm is unleashing a new effort targeting Rep. Elissa Slotkin over a hush agreement she signed to engage in discussions involving a Chinese company.

. They have also criticized the NDAs, including Slotkin's, that have been signed as part of the development process.

"The non-disclosure agreements raise serious questions about why Gotion and the officials involved would want to hide details of the project from the public," Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Mich., a member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, previously told Fox News Digital."NDAs can create distrust and make the public feel like they are not getting the whole story.", founded this year by former U.S.

Slotkin's campaign, though, pushed back in a statement Monday to Fox News Digital, referencing a report which cited"sources close to Slotkin" who said the congresswoman never signed an NDA related to the Gotion plant. The campaign accused the NRSC of spreading false information. "This deliberately false and desperate attack has already been debunked by News Nation on April 28th," a Slotkin campaign spokesperson said in a statement."As we have repeatedly pointed out, the Congresswoman did not sign an NDA with or related to Gotion, or any Chinese company."

"The NRSC is spreading lies," the statement continued."Elissa is a former CIA officer and has spent her entire career working to keep this country safe, and has a record of holding the Chinese Government accountable in her time in Congress and on the Armed Services Committee."Get the latest updates from the 2024 campaign trail, exclusive interviews and more Fox News politics content.
