Asia-Pacific stocks rose Wednesday, Aug. 23, with shares in Japan increasing for the third session and the Hong Kong market up for two consecutive sessions.
Among Nikkei 225 Index constituents, personal electronics company Panasonic Holdings 6752, +4.75% saw the largest increase Wednesday, as shares gained 4.8%. Shares of fertilizers firm Nissan Chemical 4021, -1.12% and wholesalers company Mitsubishi 8058, -1.11% fell 1.1% and 1.1%, respectively.
