Former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly has said it is ‘none of my business’ what the audience reaction is to the new Peter Sutcliffe drama she appears in.

That's where the job ends for me. Katherine said: “The responsibility when you are playing somebody, I’m wary of using the word character, as she existed, and the responsibility is not something I take lightly. I know nobody takes this lightly.

“If I was focusing on her, or her family, watching the show, I just had to try to come back to honouring the truth. As I think that’s what she'd want.”
