TAWAU: A former senior manager of a government-linked company (GLC) claimed trial, Wednesday, to three charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT) at the Tawau Special Corruption Court.

Hasnawi Dawi, 48, pleaded not guilty in front of Judge Jason Juga to three counts of submitting fake claims amounting to RM26,000 for maintenance projects that were not implemented from November 2017 to January 2018.The charges were framed under Section 405 of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 406 of the same law, which carries a maximum jail term of 10 years and whipping and fine, on conviction. Juga set Oct 17 for the next mention of the case.
