Lagos State commissioner for environment and water resources Tokunbo Wahab has denied requesting that traders at Ladipo market must pay N40 million before it is re-opened. Wahab made this known while reacting to a social media post alleging that he requested the money.

It was alleged that the Commissioner requested that N40 million must be paid by the traders for its reopened.“Except you are owing LAWMA for services rendered, you are not required to pay any official any money to get your facility/market re-opened. Please do not fall victim to a scammer,” he wrote on his X handle.
