Austin man arrested for drug distribution at SXSW, facing multiple charges.

Brandon Ross, 39, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute after a traffic stop on Friday, March 8. The arrest occurred during a joint operation between the Austin Police Department and Texas DPS targeting illicit drug sales at the SXSW festival. Officers observed Ross leaving a suspected "pop-up" drug market on Thompson Lane and loading plastic totes into his car, court documents said.
