The Better Business Bureau has released its list of the most impersonated organizations of 2023.The names should not come as a surprise to you.News 8 viewers have shared scams using the names of these businesses with us, and 8 On Your Side has reported on them.However, the list is a good reminder because these scams just keep happening.The listThe U.S. Postal Service is at the top.Most often, this happens when you get an email or text claiming there is a problem with delivering a package.

Publishers Clearing House is in the third spot.This scam really ramps up every so often.Any communication you get claiming to be from PCH – email, phone call or text – is a scam. Also, remember that you can't win a contest you didn't enter.The fourth and fifth entries on the list are Geek Squad and Norton.The scams are very similar, usually telling you that your subscription service needs to be renewed.
