The collaboration is backed by a significant $100,000 investment from Airbnb which underscores its commitment to a sustainable tourism model that prioritizes both industry growth and the economic empowerment of women. “With the Philippines leading the pack with the second largest women-led Airbnb Host community globally, this partnership for us goes beyond agreements. It is a unified mission to uplift women and enhance the backbone of our tourism industry,” said Airbnb’s head of public policy for Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan Mich Goh.
The strategic investment will unlock new opportunities for women, ultimately strengthening the Philippines’ entire tourism ecosystem.
