A Lyndhurst woman was the victim of a scam when she was convinced to pay an 'outstanding debt' of more than $2,000 on a credit car taken out in her name 14 years ago.

Three men, all 18, arrested after injuring, robbing another teen behind Mayfield Road business: Lyndhurst police blotterA South Sedgewick Road resident called police after seeing two men fighting on a sidewalk. The men, who are brothers, sustained minor injuries.At 12:55 p.m. April 29, an employee of Vincinato Pizza, Mayfield Road, reported that a male had been jumped in back of the building. The three male suspects were then seen running west.

An EMS squad was called to the scene after police arrived to find one man suffering from leg pain and the other with a bleeding forehead. The men refused transport to a hospital. At 12:30 p.m. April 30, a Lyndhurst woman, 68, went to the police station to report that someone opened a credit card in her name 14 years ago.

Police thought it possible that the two males had climbed atop a garage roof on the apartment complex grounds and requested from the Lyndhurst Fire Department a ladder. Mayfield Heights police brought a drone. Highland Heights police were also on the scene.
