West Side Market launches YouTube channel with local chefs. The collection of eight to 12-minute videos debuts today with a virtual cooking class led by Chef Jeremy Umansky of Larder in Cleveland’s Hingetown neighborhood.

Cleveland chefs Jeremy Umansky, Vinnie Cimino and Doug Katz are the first chefs featured in the West Side Market's new YouTube series.with a new series of cooking videos featuring local chefs. The collection of eight to 12-minute videos debuts today with a virtual cooking class led by Chef Jeremy Umansky of Larder in Cleveland’s Hingetown neighborhood.

The chefs are filmed while shopping for ingredients and cooking in restaurant or home kitchens. The first three videos have already been filmed and will be released over the next two months. They include chefspreparing a chicken thigh stew with fennel, onions, jalapeno and Indian spices with a marinated tomato salad with tahini dressing.

“We’re being intentional in trying to reach out to up-and-coming chefs, line chefs,” says Evans. “We want to get some different culinary perspectives to showcase diversity of chefs and food offerings at the market.” The new series joins two short takes launched as the “Merchant Spotlight,” as market staff builds out a YouTube presence.
