A stylish modern home in Oak Haven Heights has hit the market for the first time since the owner's architect husband built it in 1973.

Nestled on a forested .73-acre lot, the asymmetrical structure with an aromatic redwood exterior is shrouded in the sounds of nature even though it's less than 20 minutes from downtown. Listed for $515,000, the home is located within Loop 1604 while feeling like it's a world away thanks to its seclusion among the oak trees.

"One thing he wanted to do was never have to mow a yard again," Deborah Bradley said of the property the pair shared for roughly five decades. "I sat and watched a doe birth a couple of twins the other day," said Deborah Bradley, who added that she's also visited by foxes and coyotes.
