A federal parliament inquiry into the state of the live music industry has characterised the fight to keep Australia's sound as 'McDonald's versus the mum-and-dad burger shop'. Can it be saved?

The federal government is holding an inquiry into the state of the Australian music industry, with musicians from around the country giving evidence about its struggle to survive.
