Over 1,000 models, designers, editors, retailers and more marched across New York City on the first day of NYFW to encourage voter registration.

Early this morning, over 1,000 members of the fashion industry—including models, designers, editors, retailers, influencers, and our own team members here at Harper’s Bazaar—came together for a march throughout New York City to promote voter registration ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 5.

, the sea of people began following a path to Bryant Park, where they were led in chants encouraging people to vote. Throughout the march, volunteers also moved throughout the crowd with clipboards, ensuring that participants were registered at their current address.At the final destination, the event concluded with special remarks from First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, CFDA chairman Thom Browne, and activist and fashion designer Aurora James.
