Excellent piece addressing the challenges of China's policy changes and the important moment we are at now in terms of response and a path forward.

'Recycling' is code for 'Hide it in Asia.' It's time we started to turn recyclables into recycled goods. There's no reason its getting shipped overseas for processing.

Most of it is trash if you factor in all costs.

“Aspirational recycling” is a problem. It contaminates what *can* be recycled with stuff people wish would be. And it all becomes trash once it’s contaminated.
