Significant milestone: Ahmad Zahid being briefed by Dr Wee on the preparations for the 5th World Association Presidents’ Conference as Liu Jiang and his delegation look on during the meeting in Shanghai.
The MCA president said this was decided during a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi by a delegation led by Liu Jiang, chairman of the organising committee. “In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, the organising committee has decided to hold the conference in Kuala Lumpur.MCA and the Malaysia-China Friendship Association will co-host the event, which will be held at Wisma MCA on Dec 2 and 3.
Ahmad Zahid also gave his assurance that various government departments would provide additional support for the conference.
