Severe cold, wet weather expected this weekend in Gauteng.

The South African Weather Services has predicted severe thundershowers that might lead to flooding in the southern and central parts of Gauteng tonight.

Areas like Johannesburg, Tshwane and the Vaal will be the most affected. Johannesburg will drop to six degrees overnight and Pretoria to nine degrees. Forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela says a further drop in temperatures is expected for the rest of the weekend. “Temperatures are expected to drop even further tomorrow with Pretoria’s minimum reaching seven and a maximum of 11. Johannesburg is 5 and 9 degrees, and Vereeniging is expected to reach a minimum of 5 with a maximum of 8. Still expecting thundershowers tomorrow with cold conditions still persisting.
