A quaint market town on the Lake District border has locals puzzled over its anomalously low property prices despite its prime location.

He told the Express: "Cumbria is the best part of the world to live. He said: "We could do with a bit more employment.

His cousin Warren Stainton, 47, is a scaffolder who is also from the town - and he loves its location. He lives with his partner Charlotte Hewitt, 34, and has three children and one grandchild. The next cheapest non auction property is a three bedroom bungalow with two bedrooms listed for £95,000.
