Don’t be fooled by their “dirty tricks” as the scientific community has made it clear that “heated tobacco products are anything but safe.

At the Technovation Forum held recently at The Cube, Neuchatel, Switzerland, PMI revealed its plan to help the remaining 1.1 billion cigarette smokers in the world turn to “better alternatives.” PAV said that PMI’s deceptive use of “model countries” like Japan and Sweden obscures the reality that switching from cigarettes to heated tobacco products merely shifts the addiction without addressing the real health hazards.

Legally, PAV noted, the Philippines has enacted laws to restrict the sale and use of vape products, including Republic Act No. 11900, also known as the “Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act,” which imposes age restrictions, mandates health warnings, and limits the availability of vaping products to safeguard public health.
