Responsible Wagering Australia, which was formed after the Australian Wagering Council was disbanded in 2016, has tipped $651,320 into the major parties’ donation jars in seven years. The donations are relatively evenly split with $306,820 to Labor and $344,500 to the Liberals and Nationals. A Sportsbet spokesperson said it was one of hundreds of businesses involved in government consultations through business forums.
