Stall holders at the Liverpool Christmas Market pack up their huts after six weeks of festive trade.

It's finally Christmas Eve and after six weeks, stall holders at Liverpool Christmas markets are packing up their huts for another year. To see how the traders fared this year, the ECHO headed down to St George's Plateau to catch the rundown as the final pints, Yorkshire pudding wraps and festive bakes were sold..

Radek Bajkowski, who sells a variety of halloumi fries with a range of toppings, at the Liverpool Christmas Market for the last five years, said this year has been the'most challenging' one yet. 'It could have been an absolute whopper. But it just feels like the weather has been really against us this year.'If the bad weather hits during the week you can get away with it because you can make it up during the weekend, but this year it's felt like it's been really tough. 'Location plays a big part in it too. A lot depends on how visible you are, really. When it gets really tight and busy, people can't see the stand because we're so close together. So a location does have a massive impact. But for us personally, numbers have been great. It's been really well organised and I'm really happy with it.', Radek Bajkowski has been selling Polish delicacies for the past six weeks with his family. Radek said they had been one of the busiest stores because they sold the'most tasty' food. He told the ECHO:'The best dishes at the market have been the Polish ones, because they are the most tasty. The hunter's stew has been the best seller, which is pickles, potatoes and herbs.' Lauren, who ran one of the mulled wine stalls, commended the positive atmosphere at the market this year. She told the ECHO:'It's been a really good atmosphere and lovely people. It's been really nice.
