Once you hit level 15 and unlock the flea market, you could, to pick a number out of thin air, buy five items a day, then as you progress every few levels that number could rise, until the time you hit the true late game and can buy almost anything you want. Obviously keeping the found in raid requirement for hideout items means that buying them from the flea is fairly pointless, so the only things you are really going to want to buy are going to be keys, guns and attachments, and armor.
It would also throw in a lot more decision-making when it comes to where you want to spend your resources. Do you want to potentially waste a purchase on the one attachment you need to complete the next gunsmith quest knowing you might find it in the next raid, or do you want to go in with a lower tier armor from a trader and just buy the attachment?
It’s probably not a perfect solution, but it would make the flea market game a lot more interesting to play compared to the unlimited purchases we can all make by default. It should also keep the slowed pace of this, which everyone seems to have enjoyed, for a little longer, even if it will eventually get to the same late game state of all the players just buying top tier kits every raid.
