Earlier this week at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show , Nvidia announced that Toyota is set to be its automotive manufacturing partner as it continues to develop its autonomous driving technology. Essentially, this partnership means that the largest carmaker in the world has teamed up with one of the leading software companies to create self-driving cars. Big news indeed.
Nvidia has already been developing operating systems and softwares for cars and other vehicles, but the company has never had a partner quite like Toyota. In fact, next-generation Toyota vehicles will already make use of the Nvidia Drive AGX Orin autonomous vehicle platform and adopt Nvidia DriveOS for its driver assistance system. However, neither Nvidia or Toyota has confirmed a date for manufacturing or release.
The end goal is to manufacture autonomous vehicles at scale to meet a potentially massive demand worldwide. In that endeavor, Toyota seems like the perfect partner to help Nvidia achieve its global self-driving goal.See Also Read Next No more flat rate, higher overnight fees: PITX to increase parking rates effective January 14 View other articles about:
