IPOH: A director of a property development company has claimed trial in a Magistrate’s Court to three counts of cheating involving RM300,000.

A director of a property development company has claimed trial in a Magistrate’s Court to three counts of cheating involving RM300,000.

The offence was committed on Oct 4, 2012, at Energiser Properties Sdn Bhd in Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil here where the transaction of RM100,000 each was made via three credit cards belonging to Low. The magistrate allowed bail at RM20,000 with one surety for all three charges and fixed Aug 6 for case mention.

The charge under Section 409 of the Penal Code carries imprisonment of not less than one year, and not more than 10 years, whipping and fine upon conviction. They said their client had a 72-year-old father, a mother suffering from cancer, and a seven-year-old child to look after.
