With the $1,000 he had left in savings, Sanjay Govil built a business worth $1.8 billion that employs 7,400 people

. During the exclusive interview, Sanjay revealed his game theory for building successful businesses, and what you do once you make it.He was originally born in Montreal, Canada, where his father was doing his doctorate. Then his family moved back to India where he grew up on the IIT Delhi campus.

Between working at IBM and Verizon, Sanjay received his Masters in Science at Syracuse University in Upstate N.Y. and graduate education from Wharton. He set his focus on a few customers to build credibility, show that he could deliver on big systems, with high volume transactions, and would then go from there.

He says, “You need a team to win the championship. I was able to hire great people, what made them even more special was their passion and they are what makes champions. I was able to align them to my entrepreneurship journey for Infinite.”Winning in business is not just about finding all the customers you can, but aligning and selecting the right customers.
