SaudiArabia plans new recycling facility to build up industry

RIYADH - Saudi Arabia plans to build the first recycling facility for construction debris in the capital, Riyadh, as it tries to overhaul a landfill-dominated waste-management industry.

The first phase of construction is expected to start by the end of the year, the company told Bloomberg. It didn't disclose the project's cost or bid dates. More efficient waste management was one of the objectives of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's economic overhaul plan announced in 2016.
