Origin Energy will cut around 140 jobs from its Adelaide call centre, announcing the move after a review into its international customer service network.

The first round of redundancies will begin next month, closely followed by the second round on November 1.

Less complaints require less staff

The review finding that although the job cuts would severely reduce service and overwork remaining staff, the customers didnt matter & could continue to be price gauged very effectively.
