In this interview withCan you tell us a bit about the history of the Auchi kingdom and yourself?
I belong to the cradle of kingship in Auchi kingdom which introduced Islam to Auchi and the surrounding communities in 1914. I was born in 1934. I was sent to school in 1944. My dad died that year. When I finished my primary education, I went to Kaduna and worked in the Government Catering Rest House as a coffee boy. I didn’t go to secondary school, I tutored myself.
