Timber industry players in Sarawak must adopt new technology to remain sustainable and competitive, says Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan .

"So for industry players to continue in the timber-based industry, they have to change and use new technology. "They have to comply with the conditions of certification; for example, only seven trees can be felled per hectare," he said.
