.Microsoft’s “distributive cloud infrastructure” has the possibility of revolutionising businesses around the world, according to satyanadella

Microsoft’s “distributive cloud infrastructure” has the possibility of revolutionising businesses around the world, according to the company’s CEO Satya Nadella. Mr Nadella arrived in Australia in the aftermath of news Microsoft won a $14.6 billion cloud computing contract with America’s defence force.

The Pentagon’s decision was somewhat unexpected, as competitor Amazon’s cloud capabilities are three times the size of Microsoft’s. Speaking exclusively to Sky News, Mr Nadella said the company was awarded the contract ‘on the back of other people’s success'. “Ultimately, it’s more about customers and their success that gives us the credibility, not any one contract”. “Customers being successful on top of our tools, on top of our platforms, that’s what we are focussed on”.
