Maia Gouveia, a star of The Traitors, was reportedly caught using a company credit card after being fired from her job for taking an unauthorized vacation to Trinidad. The 25-year-old BBC contestant was employed as a social media manager by Bubblegum Stuff, a gifting company, but was let go after three months when she abruptly stopped working. Maia failed to inform her bosses about her trip to Trinidad in February 2024, which resulted in her contract termination.
Six months later, Maia allegedly used the company credit card without permission to make several purchases, having saved the card details to her personal Apple Pay. The credit card was immediately blocked, and the incident was reported to the police. Maia later claimed that the charges were accidental. Maia, who has 152.7K followers on TikTok, is currently on the new season of The Traitors, presented by Claudia Winkleman. She was surprised when she discovered that her co-star and sister, Armani, had been secretly working to eliminate fellow players. Armani was eliminated from the game on Friday after her fellow players exposed her as a Traitor.
