NSE market capitalisation sustains growth with N6 billion

) on Thursday maintained positive trend for the third consecutive day with the market capitalisation improving by N6 billion.

The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalised stocks, amongst which are; Stanbic IBTC, Ecobank Transnational Corporation , Zenith Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank and United Bank for Africa. Conversely, GlaxoSmithKline recorded the highest loss in percentage terms, dropping by 9.52 per cent to close at N3.80 per share.

Transactions in the shares of Guaranty Trust Bank topped the activity chart, having accounted for 75.79 million shares valued at N1.89 billion.
