as a relief, I propose all taxi operators be refunded 50% of what they paid in taxes last year as a start. that can be reviewed in 3 months' time.

In the moment we all need money. So no special treatment

All long distance taxi operators must be must be helped financially by the government since they cannot be able to operate because it seems like the government its only taking local taxis into consideration

It's hard feel bad for an industry that treats it's customers so horribly, treats other road users horribly and doesn't pay taxes.

MbalulaFikile .......

They should just start operating long distance... otherwise they won't get anything.....these thing ya di permit I don't understand it

Im also in this industry but expecting nothing just reasoning.

But the taxi operators has a point ngempela.....government must think about this ngoba nabo they have families to feed.

Non taxable business and then assistance from where

Why are taxis not subsidized but buses are ? What’s is the difference? They are both privately owned and my understanding is that taxi operators must be registered to pay tax in order to get permits .

eish and most places in the province were already not doing well when it comes to taxi business especially in long distances

The government will give them nothing

We all need money, we were running business aswel

Every south Africans should be compensated by government
