Soon after creating a few videos introducing herself on the online platform, Laredo got her first private online tutoring student. She has now provided online tutoring to over 20 private students and numerous group classes to a wide range of learners, including kids, adults, single parents, families, siblings, businessmen and women, and even a group of 30 people in a single recurring class.
"As ironic and ominous as it sounds, on March Friday the 13, I found out the University of Texas at Austin had canceled all campus activity, and many big universities were closing or moving their classes online," Laredo said. "Three days later, I got a call from the music school I was teaching in person [at] and got laid off because of student cancellations due to COVID-19."
Currently, she is working on making her online studio a full-time job, teaching Spanish and different kinds of music classes. Her favorite thing as an online tutor is to create new and innovative content.
