PUTRAJAYA: Almost all economic sectors and business activities will be allowed to resume business, subject to conditions and standard operating procedure, starting May 4, announces the Prime Minister.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the decision is made following advice from the Health Ministry and after lengthy discussions during the Economic Action Council, National Security Council and Cabinet Meeting. "I am saying almost all because there will be industries and businesses that will not be allowed to operate. These are businesses that involves the presence of a lot of people where body contact and social distancing will be difficult to exercise," he said in a special address on Friday .

Im hoping for clarity. Exactly what is permitted and what is not? Judging by the traffic and how people are going about things, may as well not bother with 4 more weeks of MCO. Id like to be wrong. WIll keep searching for clear info.

Balancing between public health and the economy is important but this is definitely not a soft landing as we have originally thought. In fact, the loosening measures are more like crash landing with people rushing to work on Monday for the fear of losing their job if they don’t.

SEDIA!!! All Medical Staff May the 4th be with you!!! Others best be in ISOLATION if in MY. AMEN.

Still got many active cases, I think too early release the lockdown. Probably due to pressure to revive the economy

Blood on ur hands

I hope all Malaysians don't take advantage of this and only go out when necessary

Playing with fire - when millions of Malaysian ILLEGALS are not tested.... and cannot even be located

👍

Wow !! Malaysia only country in the world that won the Covid war When millions of illegals not even tested yet. I pray Malaysia don't regret what PN doing. Some say it's because Govt has no more money to give out and do not want to be blamed for SMEs failures. DGHisham
