'IT-enabled jobs BPO companies create are of much higher value, requiring a range of technical, domain, and soft skills,' says the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines.

IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines , which is composed of over 300 members, said there are 4 key differences between BPOs and POGOs:

This is also very different from the work done by the game development sector which is sometimes mistaken as having similarities due to the gaming notion. “In the case of POGOs, majority of their staffing comes from foreign labor brought into the country to support their operations,” IBPAP said.
