China pushed back on the United States to stop 'unreasonable suppression' of Huawei and other Chinese businesses

BEIJING/HONG KONG - China's foreign ministry said on Saturday the United States needed to stop the "unreasonable suppression" of Chinese companies like Huawei, and a Chinese newspaper said the government was ready to retaliate against Washington.

China will firmly defend its companies' legal rights, the foreign ministry said in a statement in response to Reuters' questions on whether Beijing would take retaliatory measures against the United States. The newspaper, published by the People's Daily, the official newspaper of China's ruling Communist Party, said the source also mentioned halting the purchase of Boeing Co airplanes.

Huawei will win.

Just let Huawei build the network. Chinese state hackers seem to be stealing all our intellectual property anyway.

They should let us operate in China without the government buying a portion of the company! We need to have free trade that’ll benefit us all.
