The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) resumed trading for the week on Monday on a positive trend, with the market capitalisation rising by N37 billion.

The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalised stocks, amongst which are; Okomu Oil, MTN Nigeria, Unilever Nigeria, Lafarge Africa and GlaxoSmithKline. Neimeth followed with a gain 9.72 per cent to close at 79k, while BOC Gases appreciated by 9.59 per cent to close at N4 per share.

Wapic Insurance dipped 6.25 per cent to close at 30k, while Transcorp shed 4.17 per cent to close at 69k per share.
