The government has been secretive about the advice that SAGE has provided to ministers. It only published a list of the members who sit on the group two weeks ago and has not yet published full minutes of the meetings that have taken place.
If anyone in the UK is believing this political bullshitting then you are already lost. There was do much information available by middle of February. Countries were closing boarders & putting arrivals in 14 day quarantining in March. Boris focussed on herd immunity, it failed.

Scientists are pretty much guessing. They do not & never will have all the answers. Science has to be balanced with common sense & personal responsibility.
