Yet they keep voting for McConnell and believed Trumps clean coal lies. They criticize those on welfare as lazy or wanting free hand outs. They were warned by previous administrations that the industry is dying & must evolve. They chose not to. I have no sympathy for them.

The government has been running programs forever to help coal miners retrain. Have they? Apparently not. Why do we need NEW programs, when they aren't making use of the ones that exist now?
