With no mandate to shut down, even if employees get sick, one expert calls Silicon Valley's reopening 'a very easy route of transmission'

The spokesperson noted that even once the office reopens, employees will have to complete a daily wellness check in order to return to the office, and workers will still have the option to work remotely until the end of 2020. "In most cases, you do not need to shut down your facility," the health department advises. "If it has been less than 7 days since the sick employee has been in the facility, close off any areas used for prolonged periods of time by the sick person."
