Google's Eric Schmidt is building tech college to rival Stanford, MIT - Business Insider
Nigeria Nigeria Latest News,Nigeria Nigeria Headlines

Ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt is working to launch a university that would rival Stanford and MIT and funnel tech workers into government work

According to a report from, Schmidt is teaming up with former Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert O. Work to form a federal commission and kick off a university called the US Digital Service Academy that would train new classes of coders for the US.

Schmidt served as Google's CEO from 2001 to 2011 and left his position as a technical advisor at the company in February. The reason for his departure is unclear, but the move came as he was increasingly delving into military and government endeavors. Asreports, the company blossomed into the tech titan we know it to be while under Schmidt's oversight. But the privacy issues that now plague the firm, as well as other tech companies, were also bred during Schmidt's time at Google.

Another Marxist incubator.

The word funnel is doing a lot in that headline. Its not even explained in the article. The problem with government work is that it's not prestigious. Quite the opposite. Republicans spent half a century defunding government and public ed and telling people It's disfuncional

Does that mean the graduates from Stanford and MIT don’t want to work for the government and why? Wouldn’t it be the same for the students from this university?

Can RNTata2000 & azimpremjiuniv just come together & start something like this in India? You can't have Ambanis & Jio do just about everything! RNTata2000 & Azim Premji probably have the best credentials to start a university like this.

Please make entrance to the university on ability only - no enquiry on applicant's race, etc. You've achieved, you get in, that's it. No question about the graduate's ability. It would be something new and needed for higher education.

Sound like a great place for China and Russia to send operatives that could learn the latest technology then infiltrate sensitive government institutions...

webvixen another tRump Yoo-Niver-city..?

hblodget This is such great news. We're in a race with a genocidal regime for world leadership, and technology will be the primary measure of success. We need to start acting like it.

And when he says β€œgovernment work”, he means working for Google.

hblodget That sounds creepy

hblodget No Credibility U... should have done this in 1999

hblodget Who's gonna pick the spinach?

Schmidt, that's German. It's possible already. They think, they work, they bring to life.

Yellowstone conference was for communicating this to people in power.

I do not allow you to use my ecommerce, ways, exploring, and anything else, I came to in 1992. I do not allow any german repeater too. That is just for public to know. So do not play, someone gave you or allow you. You have nothing to show except forged documents.

First pay for mine. So far you are criminal, nothing you can tech about my ways. My system, ecommerce and so on is not yours, not for you. You can teach, that you were in unjust enrichment for all this time.

Sounds like a plan to train people to infiltrate government..?
