I've had a long-held belief that police should have a JD (law school just like a lawyer) so they understand the meaning and intent of the laws they enforce. You shouldn't just need training you should need an in-depth multi-year education.

Officers should have to: 1) live in the neighborhoods they police; studies have shown how much it helps 2) Local police and public schools need to sponsor monthly cookouts/ fun events with students ( High-school in particular) 3) Police Officers should take psych classes.
Don’t think it is a training issue, I think it is the mentality of a small minority of police officers. The mentality I’m referring to is systemic racism.

need more $$$ 4 more training n more officers or go w/o police for different times of day I was told that my city could not afford to run a full staff of detectives 7 days so weekends there were very few if any. than no1 including politicians at the time would admit or comment
