They burned their own trucks for insurance purposes

We are calling for government to arrest these criminals who are employing illegal foreigners without proper documentation they are breaking labour laws and driving is not a scarce skill these greedy employers they are not paying tax in accordance with ETIA

If employment is the issue here, the burning of trucks will help you be OUT OF YOUR JOB when the truck bringing the parts you need to do your job does not arrive. You think your employer is going to pay you to do nothing?

Hendrik van wyk hire Zimbabwean Ni-Da hire Zimbabwean SHauliers hire Zimbabwean Afrika link hire Swaziland drivers Man line hire Zimbabwean Aspen hire Zimbabwean Kopano hire Zimbabwean Trans-mac hire Zimbabwean Kenbert hire Zimbabwean Y not mzansi citizens Oooh

Actually it doesn't make sense to employ individuals outside S.A in this field.. driving a truck doesn't require a special skill. PutSouthAficansFirst PutSouthAfricaFirst

The Country is under siege more like

I don't condone what happened, cops need to effect arrest, for trucking industry to be where it is its because of poor South African drivers, now you wanna overlook our drivers at their expense and hire cheap foreign labour, Tse'k julle is poep dronk

Why some people keep on blaming foreigners who are not in government payrolls

If its about employment of locals that doesnt need highest office in needs people who respect laws of the land Not condoning crime from both side If its truck drivers who burn truck stop it If its employers who dont employ locals 100% stop it Then w wil c no fire

jeslllll Tax Revolt & National Municipal Boycott

MbalulaFikile don't sit quiet. These are people's livelihood.

RRespawned Supply is being halted maybe to create starvation not sure the brilliant thoughts behind it maybe just free stuff, but the next supply run will be delayed

Wouldn’t be surprised if security companies are also involved in this, becouse they want trucking companies to employ them to patrol certain routes to keep their trucks safe!

Stop employing Foreigners

Pagans, pirates, anarchists and arsonists have been let loose. This is not politics ... this is something worse, but your guess is as good as mine.

Yet another avenue being threatened for a Economy desperately searching for a road to recovery!

Old photo

BenjiSeitlhamo This industry is really under siege. On fire. As if for dear life. Something drastic urgently needs to be done.

Sadly media is worse than this only that the truck industry doesnt have time to report about the media

everyone is under siege in this country nothing special about those trucks ,your bloody fake news media house hiresouthafricans

Our useless department of Labour its a cause

The sooner they stop behaving like gods of the road the better for everyone these foreigners have no respect for other drivers lives at all .. 😠

There is a third force. Its got nothing to do with foreign drivers. Whats going to happen if our South African trucks go into foreign countries? This not zenophobia, its not about foreign drivers.SIU must investigate

The rationale behind all the destruction of trucks escapes me...

Question: Who is burning truck chasing away investors, is it foreigners or South Africans ?

It's a push back from within.... although the are special cases, but trust bro it's a push back from within. People are greedy and entitled to a point they think every Contract should be assigned to Them. They burn other trucks just to run some out of business

They should secure the borders first to stop most of the nonsense happening here

Go and tell your mother to employ you.

Wanya tsotsi

My advice to stop all this nonsense, stop employing foreigners and that will work

Every country needs a foreign driver at least a small % of the total pool should be foreigners Helps speed up process for most of us delivering in foreign countries

President said last week that SA remains an 'attractive' investment destination. Maybe he thought he was talking to criminals we have: The CIT industry; The human & drug trafficking industry; The business site extortion industry; The murder for hire industry, to name a few.

In my opinion it's terrorism, supported by the government, that's why it's not going to stop.

They made their bed. They must sleep on it. They choose foreigners drivers over South African. If trucks industry can solve that issues. They will be no burning of trucks

This has been happening for the last 2-3 years. Nice to you finally acknowledge and report on it.
