Mindset matters: A personal observation on business, cerebral palsy and establishing a new outlook on corporate advocacy

March celebrates National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month and the 25th is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. I want to do something I rarely do in the life of this column and that is to set a more personal tone to this piece and discuss what I feel will be of real significance at the intersection of employee engagement and the innovation of work.

Over the years I have often heard the phrase, personal is professional. For the disability community, this saying could not be more valid. Crafting a business case is one thing but thinking about the role that an individual can play within the corporate environment is just as important.
