Georgia Gov. Kemp responds to corporate backlash over the state’s new voting restrictions: “I would encourage these CEOs to look at other states that they're doing business in…and I think their focus will probably need to be in other places and not here.”

dismissed the corporate push back, repeatedly contending that it makes voting more secure in the state while touting its provisions to make ballot drop boxes permanently part of elections, for example.

"Georgia is the leading edge of a movement all around this country to restrict voting access," Frazier said. He added, "These kinds of bills have to be stopped in their tracks because you have to actually spend time reading this bill to understand what it does, and I think corporations ought to take a very strong stand in Georgia and every place else."

Free and fair access to the ballot was never a partisan issue. It's a fundamental constitutional right."If we allow a party to adopt as one of its fundamental strategies voter suppression, then I don't think the answer should be, 'Well we can't comment on voter suppression because otherwise we're being partisan,'" said Frazier, who is set tolater this year after a decade at the helm. "Free and fair access to the ballot was never a partisan issue.

Shepard isn't going to play any of this it doesn't fit his agenda. Truth last emotions first.

so great to see our special interest groups paying CNBC and other media outlets to push our progressive agenda! Keep it up Sara! but try not to look like your producers are holding a gun to your head to make you do it!

Screw liberals

The CEO’s FAKE outrage doesn’t surprise y’all does it? Everyone of those CEO’s is old white rich man. Y’all think they want voting? Y’all are truely fools

Yes agreed.

Why does Amtrak and Delta require ID to board their transportation? Aren't their requirements racist?

Voting more on weekends doesn't mean take away Sunday voting.

issamdaibes

Lol right before they are supposed to host the MLB All-Star Game. Let the bidding for a new host city begin.

Hi

You know 'White' people have to run the show.

Seems like GovKemp is trying to deflect when he should roll back the voter suppression bill in his own state

Businesses need to start leaving Georgia, even if it means less profits! HomeDepot Coke Delta

Yeah, I'm guessing their focus just might shift to other places to take their business other than Georgia.

Why only 134 of 159 counties have longer hours? Are the other 25 in coloured areas where you don’t want people to vote? She should have had more info on the Law so she could have questioned him better. Journos need to be expert on their subject if they are going to interview.

Delta DeltaNewsHub. JoeBiden hasn’t told the truth about our election integrity legislation from the beginning. Georgia has a minimum of 17 early voting days, Delaware has none. Georgia has no-excuse absentee balloting, Delaware does not. Read the law. FourPinocchios

Backpedaling Kemp should resign.

Fucking disgusting dude.

U made your bed!!

Very well self-spoken and articulated GovKemp

Delta airlines will have a disaster soon as he has himself and now employees worried about something else except flying people safely to their destination!

Government is always under prepared for situation like COVID. Most of the GA bill is good with some reservations. One ballet box per county is not good. Need to be minimum number by population.

Thought his interview was excellent, the governor was prepared and answered honestly. I wish our President would do an interview as tough as CNBC was on him.

He does an excellent job of rebutting her

Meh...republicans are still going to lose because there are more democrats that live in GA. Do you really believe that suppressing their vote is the worst thing that GA has done to them? Yet they are still here and still voting.

Some of the largest employers in the state of Georgia should focus on other states? Well.... alright

Restrictions? Like preventing people from voting 400 times? Good call.

When do we vote for a new Governor for Georgia?

Agree

Wrong person asking the questions. She once called SHAQ articulate as if calling a black man articulate is a compliment and not an insult because I have never seen her called a white man articulate because as far as she's concerned its a given he is. I am not a fan of SaraEisen

No Coke! Have a Pepsi instead... Voter ID is a smart idea!!!

Don’t fly Delta! Fly American, United, SW, Alaska, But not Delta! Voter ID is a smart idea!!!

I remember when CNBC did the news instead of providing a platform to fascist, racist, cheats.

What?

Gov. Kemp!! GOOD JOB, GOOD BILL, GOOD DEAL!!!

Whoa.

He’ll be singing a different song when the money dries up. You’ll see; we’re all gonna watch him tap dance

thank you very much for your work
